Dear Senator,
The denial of Due Process of law, being employed in Bill C-6 is unconstitutional. According to the Book of Criminal Procedure, the Charter of Rights and Freedoms and the Constitution Act are the supreme law of this country, and any legislation which voids our rights is “of no force or effect.” Why is our government not only passing an unconstitutional law, but fast-tracking it too? How can we trust that this legislation is for the good of the nation and all its citizens, when such manoeuvring is being used to pass it? This Bill must not be passed. It is unconstitutional, illegal and treasonous! I understand Senators are there to protect us and not to take our rights away even if we believe these new powers would never be abused. I would encourage you to speak with your colleague, Hon, George Furey about the constitutional ramifications of passing this Bill into Canadian Law.

Allowing these government inspectors to enter your home, by means of law (if the bill is past) could also result in either something else that you know you have being confinscated or being unreasonably charged for crimes you may have not known you were commiting in the first place.
On the bright side, at least there are some cerebral people out there who know the dangers of this document being passed.
(2) The maximum penalty for a violation is $5,000 in the case of a violation committed by a non-profit organization — or by any other person for non-commercial purposes — and $25,000 in any other case.
-As one can see, these penalty's seem highly unreasonable, and I can see why (after reading the entire Bill itself) why it is considered a very substandard document.
This Bill could be a major problem, according to the Violation section. *Ahem* :
VIOLATION
Commission of violation46. Every person who contravenes an order that is made under section 30 or 31 or reviewed under section 34 commits a violation and is liable to the penalty established in accordance with the regulations.
POWERS OF THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL AND MINISTER
Regulations47. (1) The Governor in Council may make regulations
(a) fixing a penalty, or a range of penalties, in respect of each violation;
(b) classifying each violation as a minor violation, a serious violation or a very serious violation;
(c) respecting the circumstances under which, the criteria by which and the manner in which a penalty may be increased or reduced, including a reduction in the amount that is provided for in a compliance agreement; and
(d) respecting the determination of a lesser amount that may be paid as complete satisfaction of a penalty if paid in the prescribed time and manner.
Harper is talking about the WTO and attached 'Codex Alimentarius. Bill C-6 leads the way to this world dictatorship. Every rotten law that has been put forth is to comply with this. Who makes the decisions for the WTO. About three 'judges' from organizations such as Monsanto and Big Pharma. Hence the cramming down our throats of genetically modified organisms (without labeling); the distruction of all Natural Health Care products (right down to the vitamin pill); and, the Police State Authoritarianism required to enforce it. You can say that again Heather.. All we can do is encourage Canadians to actually take the time to read the bill for themselves.. I have a feeling if they do, they will be just as disappointed as we are.
thie bill scars the hell out of me. I believe not enough people are aware of the implications of it, or may not even be aware of the bill. I have a business that was visited bt Health Inspectors the other day.. nothing I could do, once she was through the door.. if my name is flagged in any way because of my blogs ect… my business will be harrased or even shut down… we are losing our rights people
